1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using Communifi (“the Service”), operated by Purple Labs (“we,” “us,” or “our”), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use the Service.

2. Description of Service

Communifi is a community governance platform that enables groups to make collective decisions through structured processes. The Service includes tools for proposal creation, deliberation, voting, and decision recording, enhanced by AI-assisted analysis.

3. Accounts

To use Communifi, you must create an account through our supported authentication methods (e.g., Discord OAuth). You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. You must notify us immediately of any unauthorized use.

4. Community Membership

Access to specific communities within Communifi is managed by community administrators. Your membership tier, governance rights, and reputation score are determined by each community’s configuration and your verified roles. Community administrators may modify membership rules at their discretion.

5. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

  • Use the Service for any unlawful purpose or in violation of any applicable laws.
  • Attempt to manipulate governance processes, including vote rigging or impersonation.
  • Harass, threaten, or intimidate other users.
  • Post content that is defamatory, obscene, or infringes on intellectual property rights.
  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Service, other accounts, or our systems.
  • Use automated tools or bots to interact with the Service without prior authorization.
  • Interfere with or disrupt the integrity or performance of the Service.

6. User Content

You retain ownership of content you create on Communifi, including proposals, comments, and contributions. By posting content, you grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide license to host, display, and distribute that content as necessary to operate the Service. Governance records (votes, decisions) become part of the community’s collective record and may not be individually deleted.

7. AI Features

Communifi includes AI-powered features for summarization, analysis, and discussion assistance. AI-generated content is provided for informational purposes and should not be treated as legal, financial, or professional advice. We do not guarantee the accuracy of AI outputs.

8. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Communifi and Purple Labs shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including loss of profits, data, or goodwill, arising from your use of the Service. Our total liability for any claim related to the Service shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the twelve months preceding the claim, or $100, whichever is greater.

9. Disclaimer of Warranties

The Service is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure. We disclaim all warranties, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.

10. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service at any time, with or without cause, and with or without notice. You may delete your account at any time by contacting us. Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases immediately, though provisions that by their nature should survive (including limitation of liability and dispute resolution) will remain in effect.

11. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these terms at any time. We will provide notice of material changes through the platform or by email. Your continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.

12. Governing Law

These terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with applicable law, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any disputes arising from these terms or your use of the Service shall be resolved through good-faith negotiation, and if necessary, binding arbitration.
